Orientals efficiency up with INLIAS
Oriental Insurance Company has just completed the successful
roll-out of its integrated insurance management solution at 192 offices, with
3i Infotech as the implementation partner. With the completion of the roll-out,
INLIAS (Integrated Non-Life Insurance Application Solution), as the project
is referred to, provides Oriental integration across its operations, ensuring
easy access to information and efficient customer service.
With the roll-out, Oriental, which has an annual turnover of over Rs 3,600 crore,
expects to benefit from operational efficiencies, automated reporting at the
divisional and regional levels, and effective management information systems
for top management decision-making. 3i Infotech has customised its standard
insurance Premia software product to develop the INLIAS software for Oriental.
The deployment of INLIAS is part of Orientals initiative
to become Indias premier general insurance company, built upon well-knit
integrated business systems. Oriental currently has 21 regional offices, 310
divisional offices, 583 branches and 55 extension counters across India.

of global players. Effective deployment of technology, we believe, will provide
us a critical edge. The INLIAS implementation will not only allow us to streamline
our operations, but also facilitate quicker risk-analysis, widen our product
range, offer higher quality of services, and expand our customer base. With
INLIAS, we expect to bring down document processing time for policies, claims
and renewals. With the successful deployment at the initial locations, we will
now roll-out INLIAS across other branches of Oriental.
