Congrats
The CIO conclave at Technology Senate 2005 in Bangkok was a great success. I
want to personally congratulate you and your team for the tremendous efforts
in making this event a great success.
In recent years, Technology Senate is only event that brings CIOs and key IT
companies together, and provides facilities to interact, network and most importantly
learn and share from experiences.
The most memorable moments of the event were presentations made by members of
the Gartner group, especially that of Bob Hayward, Senior Vice-president and
Chief Research Officer in Gartner.
I thank you all again and wish you success in future events as well.
Arun Phadke,
Vice-president, IT Nicholas Piramal
Thank you
This is a special thank you to each of you in the Business Publications
Division of the Indian Express Newspapers (Mumbai) Ltd, and all the sponsors
for hosting an excellent event in Bangkok. Technology Senate 2005 was truly
memorable.
All areas of technology, especially storage infrastructure, document management,
intelligent communication, enterprise connectivity, secured enterprise, and
the fast tracks were very interesting and gave me good value. The award ceremonies
and entertainment programmes deserved the loudest applause.

Senior Manager, IT, Jetair
Suggestions
Many congratulations and compliments for successfully organising Technology
Senate 2005.
I have a suggestion to make. It might be a good idea to keep a list of participants
with contact details at the TS website which will help people remain in touch.
It might also help to keep a copy of presentations made at the Senate as a knowledge
repository.
I look forward to the event next year.
Pravin Savant,
Vice-president, IT, Star India
Thanks, sponsors
I would like to personally thank the entire team at Network Magazine for organising
a wonderful and memorable event, the 3rd Technology Senate. The event showcased
speakers from companies of great repute in the field of technology such as Avaya,
HP, Samsung, AMD and CA. These companies, in their quest for excellence through
continued innovation, helped highlight the significance of various solutions
in the form of individual presentations.
I would specially like to thank all the sponsors, including Computer Associates,
which had organised the cruise.
A great amount of effort has been made by everyone at the Indian Express to
make the delegates comfortable right from the time they left Mumbai. Arrangements
such as a reception committee, hotel bookings, exciting dinners, and sightseeing
trips with a safe return home made the entire experience very smooth.
Technology Senate 2005 will be remembered for years to come. I look forward
to participate in more such events in future.

Corrigendum
In the article Bridging the security gap published
in last month's issue of Network Magazine, Viral Raval of Kale
Consultants was wrongly quoted as saying If theres rain in
Mumbai for four hours, we move to Pune. What Raval had really said
was, If there's rain in Mumbai for four hours, it doesnt mean
we move to Pune. The error is regretted.
