Red Hat sets up centre for Indian support
Red Hat has inaugurated a Global Engineering and Support Centre in India in
Pune that will address the support requirements of the company's growing customer
base in the country. The support services will include managing Web-based support
and knowledge management. The centre will have a test lab that will certify
hardware and software. It will also house a team that will work on localising
Red Hat Enterprise Linux in Indian languages.
Red Hat's Hardware and Software Certification programme aims at guaranteeing
interoperability of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux family of products. Today,
more than 400 types of hardware and over 1,000 enterprise applications are certified
on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
