Infrastructure backbone

In Mumbai, NetMagic uses space measuring 20,000 square feet across which it has built the data center. In their infrastructure, N+1 or N + multiple redundancies have been built into every aspect of the mission-critical support architecture. NetMagic also has an NOC and helpdesk, equipped with tools and systems, that enables it to proactively monitor and manage clients' systems and infrastructure.

The electrical infrastructure includes redundant primary feeders, Skoda diesel generator sets, Merlin Gerin UPS systems, multiple redundant power distribution units, Static Transfer switches within each rack and cage. The temperature on the premises is maintained by the Multiple Precision Airconditioning units from Tata Liebert. The data center also has redundant FM200 based fire protection systems and security and surveillance that includes 24x7 physical security, biometric access control, access card readers at all access points of the facility, closed-circuit surveillance cameras with video recording.

Carrier Neutrality

NetMagic has peering arrangements with multiple backbone and gateway connectivity providers, which makes it carrier neutral. Carrier neutrality provides flexibility because it results in a better geographical spread for connecting customer branch locations to the hosted location. Further redundancy can be built across multiple carries to ensure higher uptimes. And, a carrier neutral facility can provide customers with maximum flexibility and redundancy within a deployed network, by integrating services from multiple third-party service providers.

Disaster Recovery

NetMagic has deployed Disaster Recovery (DR) facilities in its data center in Mumbai.

Consultants at NetMagic also help in planning the DR site, in terms of appropriate data replication strategies and policies as well as testing and auditing DR processes.
