To the Indian community of experts

The time has come, to get together with your talented peers, head to the Pearl of the Orient, and take part in the largest IT event of its kind in Asia. The Technology Senate 2004 beckons us all. The event this year will be held on an even grander scale. A foreign destination, talented speakers, awards in newer categories, theme pavilions, panel discussions, and a live demonstration of the future enterprise will be the most compelling learning experiences.

I would like to thank you all for the enthusiastic response we received last year at Technology Senate 2003. Many doubted if we could pull of an event of such magnitude-after all we had to bring together 200 thought leaders, like yourself, under one roof at a faraway destination like Cochin, Kerala.

And now that history has proved us successful, we invite you for a repeat performance, and this time in a larger team which will include 200 technology experts from India, and around 50 CIOs from top Sri Lankan companies. The Sri Lankan government will support the event as a partner Country. Technology Senate 2004 is an international event now.

Like last year, the event will host the Intelligent Enterprise Awards for innovation in IT implementation, and the Security Strategist Awards for CIOs for industry-leading initiatives in enterprise information security. The response from Indian enterprises has been overwhelming, to say the least.

We have already received submissions from 110 companies for the Intelligent Enterprise Awards, and 135 companies for the Security Strategist Award.

The Event will also host six dedicated theme pavilions. Each pavilion will showcase best and latest technologies and products likely to impact future enterprise IT.

Leisure activities like golf on the beach, a castle theme dinner, a mega shopping tour, a tour to Kandy, and exotic and international cuisine will entertain in the after-conference hours. And the option to get your spouse along will make it a memorable visit.

I dedicate the next few pages to the forthcoming event. They talk about the awards, knowledge-sharing forums, and other activities you can expect at the event.

By now, you must have already begun to receive invitations from our team along with the detailed itinerary. So pack your bags, and we hope to see you soon in Colombo.
