Elitecore Technologies recently released Version 6.0.0 of Cyberoam, a content filtering, bandwidth management and virtual private network solution. The highlight of the version is load balancing between multiple links, for higher speed in Internet connectivity and lesser loss of information from failed gateways.

The Load Balancing with Gateway Failover (Add-on Module) module includes:

• Multiple Links with Load Balancing support
• Balancing of Traffic based on ratio of utilization
• Bandwidth Utilization Graphs of Multiple Links
• Failover of Dead Gateway to alternate gateway

The Cyberoam also comprises a configurable cache server port and Firewall rules client-side prioritizing. Its management tools, according to Elitecore reduce system startup time up to 80%. Apparently it also gives trends of Internet usage in the enterprise, helping you set broad Internet Management policies more effectively.

This new version also has better promise of security thanks to Elitecore's recent tie-up with Trend Micros. Cyberoam will now carry Trend Micro's InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS), Spam Prevention Solution (SMS) and Internet Web Security Suite (IWSS) as an add-on module.
