ACCEL bags major integration
project from LIC
Accel ICIM Systems and Services Ltd, a leading provider of total IT solutions,
has bagged yet another Integration project from Life Insurance Corporation of
India, worth approximately Rs 20 crore. As part of the project Accel ICIM would
supply servers, desktops and notebooks and integrate the system. The order spans
LIC's East and West Zone, including its Central Office. This order is in furtherance
to LIC's migration from SCO Unix to Linux platform, a Rs 30 crore project that
was entrusted to Accel ICIM in the year 2002-2003 for the same zones.
Iomega teams up with CA for
NAS backup
Iomega Corporation and Computer Associate International announced a worldwide
OEM agreement to deliver the Iomega NAS Backup solution, a complete backup,
recovery, archive and data protection solution for small and medium-sized businesses,
that will ship with storage and security management software from CA. Iomega
says its NAS Backup solutions will provide a robust and affordable data continuity
solution. Each system will include a Windows Powered Iomega NAS server with
up to 1.28 terabytes of usable capacity, along with CA's BrightStor ARCserve
Backup data protection software and eTrust Antivirus software. Bundled systems,
which will also include a tape drive, will be complete solutions, pre-tested
and certified by Iomega for compatibility.
