Oracle and CGE&Y combine
Oracle and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young announced a strategic two-year worldwide agreement. It includes development of joint solutions, demo centers, and increased sales and marketing efforts. There are plans to establish 13 CGE&Y demo centers in 13 worldwide locations to showcase Oracle9i Application Server and Oracle9i Database solutions. Both companies will identify, design and develop repeatable industry and horizontal solutions focused on delivering tactical and strategic ROI for their customers.

Fingerprint authentication
RSA Security and Precise Biometrics announced a strategic partnership to deliver 3-Factor Authentication. According to the agreement, RSA Security will integrate Precise Biometrics' Precise BioMatch fingerprint authentication technology with RSA SecurID Passage smart card software and RSA SecurID USB Token.

Integrated DR
ICICI Infotech, VERITAS Software, and Hitachi Data Systems announced an alliance to provide integrated Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions. Under terms of the alliance, ICICI Infotech will provide system integration expertise, VERITAS will provide the storage management solutions, and Hitachi will be the hardware partner. The companies see immense potential for DR in India, which according to them is growing at 36% CAGR.
